Hi Mark, I really like your blog. You put a lot of effort in posting your articles (photo’s etc..).
I was just wondering what drives your weblog? Is is it something you made yourself, or is it something like Wordpress, Pivot, ....

A bit of feed back for you on the iPod conversion to Compact Flash. I tried the conversion with a borrowed 256MB CF in an iPod mini as a proof of concept and it failed!

I then tried again with a 1GB card and this time the iPod started to behave, but it still wasn’t recognised on my PC. I am assuming you have to a have at LEAST the capacity of the original drive (4GB) so I’ll try this next. Cheers John

Hello from Nebraska! Yes, it is the middle of the night and I am reading your blog and loving it. (Although finding out you smoke made a big dent in my mental image of you—you’re too smart to smoke.) LOVE the projects, the details, and the HONESTY given in describing the projects. Awesome! (Oops, just dated myself!)

could I perhaps enlist your help help hacking into the firmware of an HP inkjet printer. Although this may sound simple it appears to a technical challenge. Could you please contact me for more details?

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a compact flash extension cable? something like a 20-30’ cable (or whatever) with a flash card on one end (male) and a reader on the other end (female). we use compact flash to transfer milling programs between a pc and a cnc mill at work, but they put the card reader for the machine in the back of the machine far from the controller, which is very inefficiant. be nice to extend it out to the front of the machine. just curious. i don’t know much about these things, except that the retail world doesn’t seem to be supportive of this solution.
