The X15e HTPC-case with TFT touch(!)screen... ![]() Like every good system... it starts off in my bathroom :-) ![]() I really don't get this, I compared a lot of higher-tech motherboards (like the P5GD2-deluxe in there now) but none of them have a hole for this spacer... ![]() ...so we get rid of it! :-) ![]() ![]() Well, somehow this plate for the audio/USB/1394-frontplate didn't look too straight... ![]() ...so we fix that also! ![]() Here you can see there really is no hole in the motherboard, corresponding to this spacer... ![]() ...and the fixed front. On the left side you can see a little bit of what I did, but believe me, this was much more visible before. These little points were so big, the USB-cardreader wouldn't fit at first... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well... get this. I had to make this cable to get the infrared-receiver-module stable. ![]() They mention in their manual that it needs a stable 5V, but they refused to make a dedicated 5Volt-line to it and depended on the 5Volt supplied by the onboard USB-headers of the motherboard. In my case with this rather splendid Asus P5GD2 Deluxe, there was no USB-header supplying enough voltage and so I made this cable to do so. ![]() ...but the part I really don't get is, that there is room for a 5Volt-line on the Molex-connector already used for the TFT-screen. So why bother to write stuff about it in your manual instead of just making/supplying this cable? ![]() Time to show it off! ![]() ...and to be honest, it is a nice screen! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not feeling sorry to let it go, what use would a touchscreen be in my setup, when I have to kneel down first... :-) Next to that, this case isn't mine... ![]() Tschuss!
